As I sit down to write this “Bio” I have to laugh at my inability to summon the words. You see, my name is Valerie Kumra, yes, but more than that, it is Beloved. But how do you introduce yourself as Beloved? Hello, my name is Beloved. Oh wait… it’s yours too. Hmm.

Word of warning. I sometimes speak in song lyrics. It’s my first language. Music. So, I couldn’t help but rejoice at the vision for the LoveManifest Music Project.

I could tell you the journey I took to get here. The time I spent in India having my heart ripped out and crushed into the very ground I stood upon. About falling in love with lepers and orphans. The wounded. I could tell you of witnessing the breaking of my own children’s hearts for the poor and suffering, and how when I left that place the first time with my three children I was really leaving 1,000 behind.
